I could make a wise crack and tell you to replace the windshield glass. I have never seen that problem but would guess it is a problem with your video card or your cpu. But for these good people to be able to help you they need to know more about the system you are using in as complete detail as you can provide.

I think maybe that was a bit much, but the information should be there for the experts to determine whether your problem is related to the hardware you have. It might be more helpful for you to relate more information about the problem. Such as, is it confined to just one airplane and is it just in 3D mode? Has it ever worked properly or did this problem arise after downloading a new plane or other add on? If you really want help you will have to be more forthcoming than you have been so far.

Looks like a Skyspirit 777 VC glass. What file is it? If the VC textures are BMP it is worth trying to see if the DDS version cures it for you (or visa versa)

If your textures are already DDS try BMP's found in most of the FSX Skyspirit 777's.

Worth a try .... & if this doesn't cure it try looking at your display settings ....

Its been my experience, fiddling and tweaking Glass Textures on various Aircraft, that the problem may be a FILE , relating to the Reflections on the Glass.

that being the case (hopefully), try going into your Aircraft Texture Folder for that particular Aircraft

then "IF" you have the program DXTBMP,, Open the file in question causing the problem, you'll have to find/search it, and open it, and take a look at the Glassref. texture if theres is one, it may be named something different

either way, you may just "Delete" the Reflection Texture and that should may solve your problem . (hopefully)

look for something with a name like Glass Ref ,, or RefGlass but don't Delete your actual Glass Texture you'll end up with Black Windows.

only see if you can find the Reflection Glass texture , located within that particular Aircraft your having issues with !!!

I'd say its more of a Aircraft Texture File problem, than your computer ~ !!

Davido. The most important thing when asking for help is to give an example of the addon you're having problems with, including a brief description, a file name if possible & some idea of where to download it. You still haven't done that.

I think that what everyone is asking for, is the File Name of the aircraft in your original post, and where you downloaded it from, so that we can also download the same aircraft, and try it out for ourselves to determine if there is a problem...and if so, a possible cure!

If it is only for a some aircraft windows, but not all, we can exclude hardware reasons. It must be something software related. It's how transparency is handled I think but not with all kind of bitmaps.

Did you fiddle around with graphics settings externaly (like with Nvidia Inspector)? Shaders? I'd recommend to delete the shaders, to let fsx rebuild them. Maybe a gpu driver install also cures this.
