Up the West Coast Hop 7

Postby CHUCK79 » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:22 am

7th flight on my way to Anchorage, AK from San Francisco, CA in real time and real weather.
Flyin' roughly an hour at a time.

Hop 6

This hop was from Bowerman (KHQM) to Westbound/Wsx Seaplane Base (WA83)

Leaving Bowerman under an overcast sky.

A glimpse through the clouds as we climb out.

I started to worry that the clouds were going to keep us from seeing Mt. Olympus,
So I diverted away from the coast a bit......
Image

.....and poof! The weather cleared up. There's Mt. Olympus 8-)
Image

A shot from the VC as we descend near our destination.

Settin' the 185 down at Westbound/Wsx Seaplane Base in Washington. On to Canada after this ;)

Thanks 4 lookin' :D

Avoiding the busy Seattle air space?.... ;) ...!

Westbound Wsx?....

Google popped up with this one...Westsound Wsx...>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westsound/ ... plane_Base

Certainly a remote little island hop on the way northwards to Canada!

...and a fantastic shot of Mount Olympus en route.. ...!

Paul...hot on your heels!... ...!

P.S....its annoying....every time I do a "Washington" location search, I HAVE to specify "Washington State", or I get dumped into Washington (DC) District of Columbia!...Two U.S.areas with the same name!.... ...!
