Up the West Coast Hop 6

Postby CHUCK79 » Wed Jul 16, 2014 11:42 am

Hop 6 on my way from San Francisco, CA to Anchorage, AK.
Into Washington state now. This flight is a shorter one. There are virtually no airports on the Northwest
side of the Olympic Peninsula, so I stopped short this time. The next flight will be a little longer than average.

Hop 5

Seaside Municipal (56S) to Bowerman (KHQM).
Another dusk flight, I apologize for the darkness.

Climbin' out of Seaside, OR.
Image

The mouth of the mighty Columbia River which forms the border between Oregon and Washington.

A couple scenic shots......

The combination of clouds and lighting made for a nice shot here.

Good thing for night lighting at Bowerman, I would have had a hard time findin' it without.
Landing in a moderate crosswind.

Hop 7
Thanks 4 lookin' :D

Fantastic Shots, Chuck!

I love the wide-angle shots. I can recognise the familiar scenery over a much greater distance now!

Very scenic!

Thanks, Doug. I was planning to keep switching up aircraft along the way, but I'm stuck in the 185. It has everything I need for this trip 8-) 8-)
