Another AI aircraft question

Once I have started a flight do the AI aircraft start and end flights or do they just spawn in the air or on the ground near my location? This is sort of like a quantum mechanics question. Does my computer generate AI flights globally or just say within 100 miles of my location?

AI flights are started at the same time you start up FSX. The more AI flights you have the more likely you will have traffic in your area.
So it does not matter where you are at depending on the number of AI flight plans you have the better chances are that you will see some.
But there are always places where you will not find any traffic at all,
I like to install a few of the major airlines AI flight plans to increase my chances of seeing traffic. Of course you have to remember that the more AI flight plans you have installed the more they effect frame rates. But it would take either a lot of AI flight plans or a slow computer for them to make any real difference
