Snodonia National Park to RAF Mona - EGOQ Wales.

Postby OldAirmail » Tue Jul 01, 2014 9:22 pm

I was having a good time sightseeing at Snodonia National Park in Wales.

I then headed off to EGOQ. As I got near there I noticed that the pictures near the airport were looking better than the ones at Snodonia National Park.

So here are a couple of pictures of the park, and the rest on the flight to Mona.

The plane is a Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer.

Do you have any cockpit and inside shots :?:

Again well done and a fine choice of aeroplane... ;)

Thanks guys.

I believe that I downloaded it from Rob's Aero Files.

I think that the one on SimViation is similar, but not for FSX/Prepar3d.

I don't recall where I got the repaint.

The aircraft it's self flies very well and, I think, is interesting.

The cockpit however is basic.

As to the purple sunset, It's not all that unusual. At times.

After paying for the right to use REX Essential Plus Overdrive in Prepar3d (only about $5) my sunsets were very purple indeed.

After more than an hour with different REX Essential's settings I still haven't found one setting that I like.

Good ole Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer. Our C.O. on 21Sqdn could land one to a full stop right on the threshold.

Actually, those are real pictures from Google.

I've actual seen a few such sunsets over my lifetime.

Sometimes we forget how good the sky really looks.

A side trip
The name of this song - Sukiyaki - was originally called "Ue o Muite Arukou". It roughly translate to something like "When I walk I look up" or "I look up as I walk".

Because Americans (and other westerners?) would not be able to remember the original title, the name was changed.

Sukiyaki=stew. :lol:

Back to the sky
At any rate, I'm always looking up at the sky. :D
