Favorite plane to fly in FSX.

Postby Modlerbob » Tue Jun 17, 2014 9:56 am

This may be a subject that has been beat to death but I didn't see any topics on the matter. My favorite commuter small airliner is the Grumman Gulfstream I. My favorite general aviation plane is the Cessna 337. My favorite jet airliner is the Boeing 737. My favorite seaplane is the Grumman Albatross. I don't have a favorite helicopter.

Don't you think this should be in the FSX forum?

It's the very first one and hard to miss...... ;)

I am fairly new and wasn't sure whether a conversation like this belonged in the FSX area. Moderator please feel free to move this topic.

..as always, my daily favourites are my trusty Cessna 150/152 Trainers.

Excellent for low level, scenery exploration!

...and the "Flight School" essential for budding Aviators to learn the secrets of flight!

Flying a combat plane in FSX is kind of like driving a LMP race car to church on Sunday at or below the speed limit. I have a bunch of military combat planes downloaded too but don't get as much enjoyment as I would in a combat environment.

For all-around flying fun, I enjoy the A2A Civilian P-51.

Sometimes I like a little leather in the back though, so it's a tossup between the Carenado King Air 200 and the Mario's P-180 Avanti version 3

If I feel a craving for speed, the Eaglesoft Citation X.

For tube flying, the PMDG 737 NGX

If I had to pick one from all of them though, I think I'd pick the P-51... it can do stunts

Hi,

I really like the Corben Baby Ace by Craig Richardson, especially the version with Tundra tires, its a very nice little bird for going low and slow. A close follow up is the Fi-156 Storch by Tim Conrad. When it should be something bigger, I like the propliners by Jens Kristensen, especially his AT-32 Condor and the Shorts flying boats. Dave Garwoods Dragon Rapide is another great bird. I fly seldom something more modern or bigger than a DH-91.

But most of my flying time I spend flying Helicopters and soaring. My prefered glider is the Horten IVA by David Rowberry, closely followed by his other planes and the gliders by Wolfgang Piper.

The newest helis in my hangar are the ABD Helis from frenchvfr. Great little Helis with some innovative features.

A long list, but there are so many good add-on.

Greetings from Germany

I like the default Beech twin*, It has enough range for a long low and slow and just enough power to clear those pesky mountain ridges. ^-^

Excellent choice, Steve... ;) ...!

A good, popular, all-rounder!

I use the Turbo-charged version of the Beech Baron 58...(B58TC) for FS 2004 and FSX.
