I was just cruising around Cairo in the FSX ultalite and flew over the site of the pyramids and sphinx and they weren't there. Just an open spot of desert. I double checked the latitude and longitude to be sure. So does Egypt have a restriction placed on locating these objects in FSX? Or are they just trying to sell some payware scenery?
Maybe recheck the scenery files. That area is still FSX standard in mine and they're definitely there.
I accidentally crashed into one of the pyramids while going for a jolly in the Meteor once... Not sure the resulting explosion was large enough to wipe them out permanently on everyone's PC.
They're there alright - including the Sphinx. This is the FSX default scenery. (FSX Gold + Acceleration) If you're looking in the right place it might be your FSX display settings.

No restrictions. Apart from the FSX Acceleration expansion pack Microsoft has never produced addons for the Flight Simulator series.
I will look again. I have the gold edition too. All of the other scenery objects were present, buildings, roads, airports etc. I will run it again and see if I can find them.
I just had my computer replaced with a much more capable one and therefore had to reinstall FSX and FSX acceleration. No more scenery install error on start up and thepyramids are where they are supposed to be.
