Push-back an Aircraft

Good day to all,

When I want to Push-back an aircraft, the a/c keeps on going back wards it don't act on pressing Shift+P plus the 1 or 2 key to change the direction of tail either left or right.

I did check the Control-Assignments and under the heading keyboard, Push-back. Shift+P is selected.

I have this problem for 3 months now, and I don't know how to rectify it. Please HELP.

My OR is Win 7.

There is a knack of operating the "Push-back" sequence, which takes time to perfect... ...!

Shift+P....release....quickly followed by either numbers 1 or 2, on the Main main upper keyboard.
Shift+ P again will stop the operation
Certain operations have to be carried out quite quickly, in the correct sequence.

It takes practice to get it right...then you are OK!

In my experience, timing is not so much of a factor. A turn direction does not need to be stated immediatley. However, the aircraft appears to travel roughly half its length before the turn will commence. So if you're flying a big bird like a 747, it will take a number of seconds before the turn commences. A little thing like a PA181 or a C172 will go after just a couple of seconds.

This is a very use full tool, But so far i have not had any backup problems
Putting this gauge in a aircraft is a piece of cake if you have FSPANEL STUDIO
Anyone not using this is just plain crazy

Thank you for the advise wrt the Push-back of an Aircraft.

I installed Rob's Groundhandeling software, and I am very satisfied.

Once again Thank you, for coming to my rescue.

With the weak ZA Rand, against the US$ dolar, the Euro and the British Pound, I can not afford to purchase the FSPANEL STUDIO SOFTWARE now.

Yep, I use the manual pushback as well as Robs add on,which is a great tool. In using the manual method,I often wait several seconds before entering the 1 or 2 for direction to ensure a correct turning/clearance distance. MOST of the time,I have no problem. BUT,some AC have proven to not use the tool by Rob.Must be in the model cfg of those particular ac. Cant say for sure.
