Finally Took the Plunge

Postby CHUCK79 » Mon May 12, 2014 7:14 pm

I decided to quit reading about P3D V2 and find out for myself

Only a few add-ons installed so far: REX4, OrbX SAK, SweetFX, and a small hand full of aircraft.
Worked pretty darn well right out of the box O0

These shots were taken at the crack of dawn before the sun had even risen.

VERY nice. :D

There were a small number of planes and scenery that I liked which didn't port over. But that's OK. It's to be expected.

V2.2 is such an amazing improvement over V2.1, that it was worth it for you to have waited.

That's seems to be the general consensus. Everything I researched seemed to indicate a vast improvement over the previous version. So far I'm pretty amazed at the smoothness. Runs like a sewing machine and the water is amazing
P.S. I took your advice and purchased the FSX to P3D Migration Tool. It is VERY handy 8-)

Glad to be of help. :D

As to the smoothness: I have more details cranked up to, or near, maximum settings, and yet P3d is working smother than FSX was.

What version is this? I have been toying with the notion of buying it too...sick of the FSX quirks...

V2.2x

It's not without it's own quirks, but some of the minor problems I had in FSX are gone.

Whatever you do, READ the requirements!

Nice Shots. 8-)

One of the things I particularly like in P3D is the volumetric fog.
