Railroading in France

What are you laughing at?

Railroading in France

Postby H » Sun May 04, 2014 2:02 am

Boarding a crowded train on a tour in France, a U.S. Marine searched the train then returned to where he'd noted a seat occupied by a small dog and addressed its mistress.
"Ma'am," the Marine nodded toward the seat where the dog sat, "could I please sit where your dog is?"
"My Fifi is a lady," the woman spoke in proper English with her French accent, "she deserves a seat of her own."
"Ma'am," the Marine replied, "I am very tired and, if you don't wish your dog on your lap, it is welcome to sit on mine."
"You Americans are so rude!" the woman declared, "I don't care how tired you are. When my Fifi is with me, she has a seat of her own!"
To this, the Marine picked up the dog and threw it out the window and stated, "I guess I'm fortunate she's not with you now."
"Mon Dieu!" the woman screamed, "Someone defend our honor!"
Sittng nearby was an English touristor who'd observed the entire episode. He cleared his throught and addressed the U.S. Marine.
"Sir, you Americans certainly do have the knack for doing things quite to the opposite... the other side of the road, the other hand... now you've thrown the wrong bitch out the window!"

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.
