Yes, especially freewares that used to be paywares

This planes was sold by IRIS, but when it became too old to be sold (not up to IRIS standards anymore), it became freeware. I believe it can still be downloaded directly from the IRIS website:
http://www.irissimulations.com.au/hanga ... r-aircraft
This page contains the links to both their FS9 and FSX aircrafts that were payware many years ago, but are now offered for free, which is really cool from the IRIS guys. O0
That T-6A Texan II is an excellent addon and I highly recommend it.
In the same category, they also offer the Pilatus PC-9 which is also very cool.

Right on Yancovitch, Skookum actually from the cheechako gold miners slang for huge. So you did use the wrong word. I'd say awesome was ok.

There are strange things done
In the midnight sun
By the men that moil for gold
The Northern lights have seen queer sights
That would make your blood run cold
The Northern lights have seen queer sights
But the queerest I ever did see
Was the night, on the marge, of Lac lebarge
When I cremated Sam McGee.

Having fun with the T6A, buzzing cruise ships in San Diego Bay and doing aerobatics. Handles like a dream, you can do a real fighter approach.

I have really enjoyed this plane. I was reading an online overview of it and it listed the cruise speed of 278 kn. I haven't been able to break 210kn on most of my flights. Anyone else have this problem? It will easily break 300+ in a dive, yet level flight, flaps, gear, and speed brake up it seems rather slow for a turbo prop.

I just did a test on the cruise speed, at level flight 2000ft i reach 270 knots. It could be a bit more at a higher alt
