Warthog + Tac-Pack

Postby CHUCK79 » Mon Apr 07, 2014 11:14 pm

I was lookin' around today and noticed that Iris updated their A-10 to be Tac-Pack compatible.
So, if you already owned the Iris A-10 all you have to do is re download it from your original purchase link to get the update. NO CHARGE!

Here's some shots of an attack on a AAA site using a Maverick laser guided missile.

Out lookin' for trouble in one of the countless weapon variations.
Image

Found someone up to no good along a roadside.......2.5 miles out...lets see how these missiles perform!
Image

A closer look at the target through the FLIR. This is actually the target on the ground. The FLIR can see a long way in front of the aircraft! If one missile is good.....
Image

....two must be better! You can see the target in the lower left. It's the dark spot on the road. It really puts in perspective the amount of magnification you can get from the FLIR.
Image

Flying over as both missiles find home....boom boomba!
Image
Now on to Dino's F-14....Recently made Tac-Pack compatible.....excuse me while I crank up "Highway to the Danger Zone" and try to figure out the new controls
Thanks 4 lookin' O0

Excellent !!
I have the Warthog but I haven't installed that updated yet.
Very nice screens, even though you left the red AI labels on ;)
Also, aren't you a bit close to fire that missile ? If a ZSU-23 had been there, your Warthog would be full of holes :D

@PhantomTweak.......These shots are from FSX. Dinos' Tomcat is Tac Pack integrated now along with his F-35. I've been workin' on getting some shots of the Cat in action.

The very first Tomcat made by Dino was made for FS9. It had a nice looking VC at that time.
Of course, it can't be compared with the FSX one, which was made several years later, and redone several time while Dino earned more modelling skills.
And of course, no TacPac for FS9.

Nice set! One thing that I hate about the IRIS A-10 is the flight dnyamics of it! It doesn't fly like a Real A-10!! haha I know this becuase I was able to fly in the Idaho Air National Guards A-10 full cockpit/motion sim for the 190th Skullbangers at Gowen Field. It's to fast, and to fly-by-wire. And the sounds don't really match you to a real A10 (As I see them everyday) But otherwise it's great!

Taking into consideration that you are FS9 user, if you are interested in combat I'll suggest DCS (Digital combat Simulator), the base program "DCS World" is free including the Sujoi Su25, the problem is that the "world" is a small region in Georgia but concerning quality is very good, realistic and not much computer demanding. In my case I have purchased the P-51 and the A-10, in all it takes 15Gb of my hard disc.

There is a thread here at Simviation: http://forums.simviation.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=167299
