The FA-18 pretty much has it all! It is an awesome fighter, even with a full payload of bombs aboard, carries a ton of fuel, snd can mid-air refuel, of course. It can dogfight with the best of em, then preceisely hit a target with anything from a bomb to a gun round.
It can hit the #3 arresting wire on a carrier the pilot can't even SEE at night in a severe storm, moving away from it at 35kts indicated speed through the water, or touchdown on the numbers on just about any runway long enough to take it in the world, day or night, rain or shine, loaded or empty...
And on top of all the incredible things it can do, it goes like a
(and this one is just for Fozzer!)
Scalded Cat!!

Sometimes I kill me! I am SO funny!!
At least in my own mind....

Same here. I love Dino's 14's.
I have tweaked them, I have upgraded the FDE's, I have tweaked the .air files and aircraft.cfg files over and over, and what I have done to the panels simply must be seen to be believed, but, oh!, how I love to fly "MY" -14's now!
I've put in and sized/adjusted/aligned the HUD until it's purrrrrrfect (for me...) and I can make an overhead recovery from 0.85mach to touchdown on the #3 wire in the dark and fog and rain, WITH a 35kt WOD!
Of course, that's on my good days....on a bad day, I can't hit the runway at Groom Lake on foot(it's an immense runway, just fyi).... from the flight startup point thereon...
