A Wing Warper

Postby Flying Trucker » Fri Mar 28, 2014 2:08 pm

Goodly afternoon all...just did about a hour in this wonderful machine...and believe me it takes a good hour to go anywhere...

All around a fun aeroplane to aviate in... ;)

Those magnificent men in their flying machines,
they go up tiddly up up,
they go down tiddly down down.

They enchant all the ladies and steal all the scenes,
with their up tiddly up up
and their down tiddly down down.

Up, down, flying around,
looping the loop and defying the ground.

They're all frightfully keen,
those magnificent men in their flying machines.

They can fly upside with their feet in the air,
They don’t think of danger, they really don’t care.
Newton would think he had made a mistake,
To see those young men and the chances they take.

Those magnificent men in their flying machines,
they go up tiddly up up,
they go down tiddly down down.

They enchant all the ladies and steal all the scenes,
with their up tiddly up up
and their down tiddly down down.

Up, down, flying around,
looping the loop and defying the ground.

They're all frightfully keen,
those magnificent men in their flying machines

Aircraft: Levavasseur Antoinette available here at the Simviation Downloads

Time: Late afternoon...leave yourself time to do a flight as she is not the quickest bunny in the sky and has no lights/electrics...

The only scenery I have for the United Kingdom is what FSX uses. Would like to find some old aerodromes with scenery from the 1920s and 1930s for the United Kingdom with A1 aircraft.

There is what they call suck and blows...hmm...2 of them...wonder how they fly without propellers :?:

This Wing Warping works alright...

Lost track of time...getting too late to cross any water now...
Image

It is getting cool and drafty...lucky I am wearing my red flannel long johns and the rear trap door is closed...
Image

What do you mean Tower...I am 10th to land... :?:
Image

Gosh...wonder if someone has to clean each of those light bulbs every day... :?: :violin:

Come on now...a two pointer is not bad...

Comments and advice most welcome... ;)

I like the aircraft!
You're inspiring me to fly some of my old-timey planes for a low-and-slow - I have the Focker spinner and the Wright brothers plane.
Thank you for sharing!

Why, I do believe that was our very own Fozz and his first flight! Luckily for all of us, he upgraded to his C150, we wouldn't want to see the rear trap door open upon exit!
