Is there any advantage overall in limiting FSX frame rates to say 30 frames per sec as opposed to setting them to unlimited.
I have a fairly high end gaming computer and I see really little difference either way.
Thanks

But the human eye can only use about 28 frames per second, give or take a few frames. So If your machine can render faster, you might be picking up more details and that is good. I read an article once that dogs are believed to see at a very much higher frame rate than humans, which seems to explain why they can focus on a frisbee while at a full speed run and jump to catch it.

I also set my frame rates to 25-30 FPS for two reasons, anything faster is probably just a waste or computer resources, and 25 FPS is the recommended speed for Multiplayer, so as not to overload the Multiplayer Server.
And your reference to Dogs "frame-rate" is very interesting, Steve....
I have often wondered the same thing regarding small birds, like the garden Sparrows in my garden....
...how they can accelerate at very high speed towards a tiny twig on a tree, locate its distance very precisely (even with its eyes on either side of its head!), decelerate very rapidly, land on it, collapse its wings and curl its toes firmly around the twig with great accuracy, all with perfect balance.....!
That has got to be very powerful eyesight and brain power!
Paul...with failing eyesight and brain power...(I wish I was a Sparrow)..........!

Likely the same reason cats can roll over and land on their feet during a three story fall. Maybe?
