C-47 paints

Postby jankees » Sun Mar 23, 2014 11:12 am

I guess you are all aware of the wonderful freeware C-47 by Manfred Jahn, available on sim-outhouse? Jan Visser is currently working on a new VC for it which promises to be wonderful, there is a great soundset, and there is a fantastic paintkit for it available as well, so I have done a lot of paints for it already.... I thought I'd show you some of my favorites so far.

Those are great jobs.

It's amazing how the right re-paint can make a good plane look even better.

Are you guys talking about this file - FSX Douglas C-47 V2.zip?

Image

This VC came from the download link above.

Or is there a new VC version of the "old" (original) C-47 cockpit?

Jankee

your aged weathering effects look mighty good / Awsum not over done, , not too much, just right !

You should check out some of FOMOCO's work too, he's really good at adding aged weathering effects too !

cool, like those DC-3 / C47's when they don't look like they just rolled out of the paint shop.

great job !!! :D

Really looking forward to that new cockpit
I'm not that pleased with modern cockpits in old planes!

Note.
These textures by Jan can be ported over to the c-47 base pack by changing aircraft.cfg/sim=Douglas_DC3.
Prop probs by copying propdisk1.dds from stock textures into the new ones.
