Missing Guages on most FSX planes

Postby vbneil54 » Sun Mar 16, 2014 2:51 pm

Hi all,
After the DivX update it seems when I load almost any plane, all the gauges are missing.
I can't uninstall the DivX update, but I don't think that it the issue. DivX version is 10, 2.6.1.100

This happens mainly with the default aircraft.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Neil

Do you mean the Microsoft "Direct X" update?

DX9, DX10, DX11?

If it is the Direct X update the individual installed, and a version DX10 update at that for the x86 side of the house, would seem to me to be the wrong Update installed. As far as I was aware unless your your a designer of software and need DX10/11/or12 for the program you are designing, Direct X 9.0C End Runtime User web installer update is the required version for Windows platforms.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

No,
it says DivX
I uninstalled it and installed the Direct X from Microsoft's web site.

A Video Player....>>> http://www.divx.com/

Why would you want that program for FSX Flight Simulator?

The dark gauges on your example above...Are you sure that you have started the engines and switched on the Avionics Display?

Are your other "analogue" gauges affected?

Paul,
Thanks. For some reason now all my planes are loading with the engines off.
Is there some place in the FSX.cfg file I can change that?

Again,
Thanks for your help.

Load a plane with engine ect. running (NOT with AP on),
and save it as default flight!
All other planes should now turn up similar, unless you got some "Cold and Dark" aircrafts.

Thanks.
I did just that and it works. I do have some cold dark, but they were not touched.
Again,
Thank you very much.
