Ford Project - new Misc Page

Postby Garry » Fri Mar 14, 2014 4:22 am

Hi Good People,

Image

Been a bit quiet on the Ford Project Site for a couple of months - but we're back.......

To celebrate our return after the hiatus Edward and I have put together a new Miscellaneous Page - this contains some repaints and aircraft that we have used for the Ford Project to support the overall project - some used in part of the project as AI and other used as flyable models.

There is a collection of 8 various aircraft, some default Microsoft, some old favourites, and some new stuff not seen before.

Many more things in the pot for the Ford Project this year and next year (so far) - Edward still has a lot of things that he wants to add to the overall project to enrich your flight sim enjoyment.

Feel free to surf over to the Ford-Project site and check out the 1800 plus FREE downloads available for your Simming enjoyment. Tons of Aircraft, Historical and Fun Scenery and Textures for many historical aircraft.

Regards and happy simming.

Thanks for your kind words Jetranger,

However, everything on the Ford site - including these aircraft and textures are free - nothing to "buy" :)

In fact - stuff on the Ford Project, GJSmith.net, Mike Stone and Milton Shupe sites are all totally free for simmers.

Happy simming mate.

Methinks I must do a new 'Golden Wings' install with only the planes & scenery from the Ford site.. Also love the Swiss bunkers.
The India stuff is great as well. It is nice having some 'fictitious' scenery. Anyone doing 'SteamPunk' textures?

<<q I have a few liveries from the Ford Project, but now my favorite is the Me-108. I had a ride in one, when the Confederate Air Force (now Consolidated!! I can't believe it ... pinches gringos!!) did a show for opening the Cuernavaca Airport. Had a chance at the controls, could not believe the weird electric prop control, and how stable the whole aircraft was to handle. A delighht to fly!! Thank You & Muchas Gracias, Ford Project!! <<r

No worries Jetranger, - been there and done that (typo's) myself. Many times :D

Just needed to let simmers know that all of our stuff is FREE just in case someone might have thought we had stuff up to "buy"

Thanks for clearing the issue mate - appreciated.

Happy simming to you and yours mate. <<q

I downloaded all the repaints from your miscellaneous section link and got them all categorized on my hard drive and ready for
install. Thats great that you include the actual aircraft at the top of the list of repaints for that particular aircraft.

I still can't believe you started the Ford Tri-Motor Project in 2011. That's a LOT of work in just three years!
In the words of the great Ringo Starr... "I got blisters on my fingers"

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Thanks for your kind words Dwayne, appreciated.

Yes the team of two - Edward and I have certainly pumped out a large volume for the simming community. Across a broad selection of aircraft and scenery circa 1930's. We have arduously tried to stay with an oldtimers era for flying - when flying was focused on courage and skills to get from one place to another - and the adverture time of expanding out to the world from all points.

I mentioned to Edward, just the other day, when we launched the Misc page, that we now have a web site with over 1800 downloads and that it was now over 4gigs of web releated stuff on the server - web presentation and downloads. roughly an average of 1.3gigs per annum of FREE stuff flowing from a team of two.........

And in amongst all of that work was the taking on board of Milton Shupe's web site to keep Milton and his Team's fantastic aircraft available for the current and future simmers.

Regards and thanks again for your nice words about our efforts in regards to the Ford Project

<<q Hello from México <<q First, Really great work on Ford Project, beyond words: compared to the Joyous Century of Flight only!! I have a little issue: after install of Special - Master Set & Ford Factory Airport - Dearborn MI USA Scenery Packs, I came upon this: NO PANELS for new Trimotor liveries!! I copy/paste the missing PANEL & SOUND folders, from Default FS2004 Ford Trimotor. The sound works well, 2D panel OK, but the VC panel has gages only, no color nor interiors have any upolstery!! Do you know the FiX?? GRACiAS!!
<<t
The new liveries are OK:

the transplanted 2D panel is OK too:

No Paint on VC panel, but gages are OK & works:

No Interior Upolstery either!: Image

The Scenery is OK, only with loads of snow ... :violin: :violin: :violin:

Hi Mate,

Are you by chance using one of the AI version of the Ford Tri-Motor as your flying model? - VC, Panel and Sound are stripped out of the AI versions.

The default Microsoft Ford Tri-Motor should be used for your master aircraft - all textures by the Ford Project to be added to that model.

As for the SNOW, might I suggest that you set your scenery to Summer and the snow will go away - I hope :-)

Yup, methinks Jean is modded one of the AI's & not the default Trimotor!! &, as you say, Garry..the default Microsoft Ford Tri-Motor MUST/ should be used for your master aircraft - all textures by the Ford Project to be added to that model.

Well, since snow is missing badly from the Iztaccíhuatl & Popocatéptl volcanos, and NO Trimotor UPOLSTERY ... thought it looks Art Nouveau!! Now, back to Default Trimotor (by Ford) in FS 2004, with nice interiors, VC cockpit & showing Pancho Barnes movie to passengers (silent version, Pancho will kill me!!) ... (what does AI mean? I am from "BEFORE initials World" :violin: :violin: :violin: )
