setting are lost after saving

Postby antalves » Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:27 pm

I'm trying to fly an iFly 737. I start all settings, preparing it for taxing, but after I save and reopen the fly all ajustments are gone, having to start again. It seems abnormal to me...

If not, then you will have to go into the "saved flights list" and pick the saved one that you require, before you start the new session.

All your "Named and Saved Flights" will be listed in the main start-up Menu.

¨This is what I'm doing. It seems to me that some hidden, "special" instruction in 737 program don't let sttings be saved... :o

Try exiting completely out of FSX and then restarting, then select your saved flight.

Hi antalves,
Sorry for bringing this subject back up.
Did you get the saving and restoring the flight with same conditions sorted out with the Ifly?

Reason I ask is I'm about to reload the tutorial flight and I know from first attempt that it doesn't load the panel in the state it was.

You have to save the panel state as well and then reload it, the ordinary save we have been used to all those years does not bring in the same panel setup as well,
it seems to be that it's the complexity of the Ifly 737ng program itself that the reason for this.

I will persevere with this as I'm going to be joining the group at Sheffield at Flightdeck and needed this as supporting aircraft to learn with

regards

Hi Antalves,

This is for anybody having had the lost 'settings' problem.

There is no problem, you just have to follow the users guide, pause the sim, goto Ifly 737NG menu, save panel state, use a name that's is going to be obvious when you
want to reload.

Save the flight as you would any other FSX flight.

The next time you you need to load that flight, choose you the aircraft you was using, I do this out of habit.
load the panel state you hade also saved and all should be OK.
