The Obamagolf Tax

Receptionist) Hello, Welcome to ObamaGolf. My name is Trina. How can I help you?

(Customer) Hello, I received an email from Golfsmith stating that my Pro V1 order has been canceled and I should go to your exchange to reorder it. I tried your web site, but it seems like it is not working. So I am calling the 800 number.

(Receptionist) Yes, I am sorry about the web site. It should be fixed by the end of 2014. But I can help you.

(Customer) Thanks, I ordered some Pro V1 balls.

(Receptionist) Sir, Pro V1's do not meet our minimum standards, I will be happy to provide you with a choice of Pinnacle, TopFlite, or Callaway Blue.

(Customer) But I have played Pro V1 for years.

(Receptionist) The government has determined that Pro V1s are no longer acceptable, so we have instructed Titleist to stop makiing them. TopFlites are better, sir, I am sure you will love them.

(Customer) But I like the Pro V1. Why are TopFlites better?

(Receptionist) That is all spelled out in the 2700 page "Affordable Golf Ball Act" passed by Congress.

(Customer) Well, how much are these TopFlites?

(Receptionist) It depends sir, do you want our Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum package?

(Customer) What's the difference?

(Receptionist) 12, 24, 36 or 48 balls.

(Customer) The Silver package may be okay; how much is it?

(Receptionist) It depends, sir; what is your monthly income?

(Customer) What does that have to do with anything?

(Receptionist) I need that to determine your government Golf Ball subsidy; then I can determine how much your out-of-pocket cost will be. But if your income is below the poverty level, you might qualify for a subsidy. In that case, I can refer you to our BallAid department.

(Customer) BallAid?

(Receptionist) Yes, golf balls are a right, everyone has a right to golf balls. So, if you can't afford them, then the government will supply them free of charge.

(Customer) Who said they were a right?

(Receptionist) Congress passed it, the President signed it and the Supreme Court found it Constitutional.

(Customer) Whoa.....I don't remember seeing anything in the Constitution regarding golf balls as a right.

(Receptionist) There's no explicit mention of golf balls in the Constitution, but President Obama is a former constitutional scholar and he believes it would have been included if the Constitutional had not been drafted by a bunch of slave-owning white men. The Democrats in the Congress and the Supreme Court agree with the President that golf balls are now a right guaranteed by the Constitution.

(Customer) I don't believe this...

(Receptionist) It's the law of the land sir. Now, we anticipated most people would go for the Silver Package, so what is you monthly income sir?

(Customer) Forget it, I think I will forgo the balls this year.

(Receptionist) In that case, sir, I will still need your monthly income.

(Customer) Why?

(Receptionist) To determine what your 'non-participation' cost would be.

(Customer) WHAT? You can't charge me for NOT buying golf balls.

(Receptionist) It's the law of the land, sir, approved by the Supreme Court. It's $49.50 or 1% of your monthly income.....

(Customer)(interrupting) This is ridiculous, I'll pay the $49.50.

(Receptionist) Sir, it is the $49.50 or 1% of your monthly income, whichever is greater.

(Customer) ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What a ripoff!!

(Receptionist) Actually sir, it is a good deal. Next year it will be 2%.

(Customer) Look, I'm going to call my Congressman to find out what's going on here. This is ridiculous. I'm not going to pay it.

(Receptionist) Sorry to hear that sir, that's why I had the NSA track this call and obtain the make and model of the cell phone you are using.

(Customer) Why does the NSA need to know what kind of CELL PHONE I AM USING?

(Receptionist) So they get your GPS coordinates, sir
(Door Bell rings followed immediately by a loud knock on the door)

(Receptionist) That would be the IRS, sir. Thanks for calling ObamaGolf, have a nice day...and God Bless the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Yip, reminds me of the people being conned to get on a Train, told they'd be taken care of, only to find out different, later thousands died, if only they'd followed logic and common sense and not believed everything they were told !

whats happening today is no different, just different people falling for the same BS !!

I think the story might have been improved if you'd mentioned the Affordable Care Act Death Panels that Sarah Palin warned us about in 2009. Or maybe mandatory microchip implants, you know, that Mark of the Beast stuff that the Affordable Care Act will eventually bring.

Back in the real world, my 30-year-old daughter now has her own private medical insurance, first time in her life, since no insurance company would cover her due to a minor pre-existing condition. And she doesn't have to worry about the need to sue her insurance company for dropping coverage if, God forbid, she ever did become badly ill. Insurance companies in America did that, you know, before the law changed. I can't count how many times my wife and I had to battle our health insurance to settle claims that were randomly refused, but eventually were paid because we refused to give up.

Here in Indiana, my doctor drives a late model BMW, and lives in a mansion-like estate. When I visit Armenia, my doctor there drives a Toyota, and lives in a condo. The latter does free care for poor kids from the mountain villages on weekends. I don't think the American doctor even accepts children as patients. Not enough money to be made for the effort, perhaps? Or maybe it's a corporate policy.

Maybe the next funny story can be about the old folks, you know, that doggone no-good Social Security system.

What should really Irk , ya is that you get to PAY for it, rather you've got it or not now, and if you do already have it in some form, you'll essentially be paying "Twice" for it on everything you buy / purchase !!!

So break it down, lets say you've got it and pay monthly premiums , well now on top of that you'll also get to pay it again & again when you buy something, everything , look what this restaurant is doing, this is just 1 example, theres more coming !

ACA Care Act on Restaurant patrons food bill receipt to pay for employees healthcare ???????

http://news.msn.com/us/florida-restaurant-chain-adds-obamacare-surcharge-to-meal-bills

soon grocery stores, gas stations, auto parts stores your going to be paying 10 fold, plus your own monthly premiums too , geee what a deal !

0.13 cents now, year from now $1.00 on everything you buy, purchase, then $5.00 per item how often you shop, eat out, go to the grocery store whatever, may very well end up costing another 300 to 400 a year out of your pocket on TOP of your monthly premiums that have risin' as well !

So is it still affordable now ???? :P :P :P :P :P :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

back to those who got on that train in the 1930's, Mein Kampf !

They already do that with the "free" (taxpayer paid for) interstate highways here.

Crawl along with rush hour traffic or pay a small toll to use the road you already own.

I-95 express lane tolls rise March 1 to maximum $10.50

Up to $1.50 a mile!

Everyone knows you only get sick and need a Dr. through your own fault. Never let it be said that the state encourages you to work in below standard conditions so that they can extort a tax out of you to pay for necessary things. Things such as a space program and golf. (oops never let it be said that I criticize the game sport of golf) Did I say that it's your own fault for working under those conditions so that if you did get sick you'd be responsible for your own medical care? Then again you must understand that if you (or your wife) should ever bring forth progeny into this world, you must do so in the world's most expensive institution. The fact that it is illegal to give birth to such an unfortunate in your own home should only make it obvious that Kitchen wrap is a necessity, as is kleenex and Izal. (If you don't know what IZAL is, better ask an old Brit)
Let's just say that if you are fortunate enough to have enough saved through your hard work and lack of sympathy for all those non workers, for you to afford your own medical insurance plan, then bully for you.

I recognize the words, but understand almost nothing.

Can you rephrase that, please?
