A stomp through the snow sounds quite appealing.
Here in Sussex it's still remarkably mild temp wise but that's about the extent of the good news. We've had the wettest Jan in over a 100 years, 200% more rain than usual. The ground is saturated and has nowhere to go, many parts of the UK southern area are flooded and have been since Christmas. The wind all winter has had some south in it (hence the mild temp) and has been driving storms against the coast, storm after storm. My wife and I went to Birling Gap for lunch the other day, the eatery sits on top of the cliff (circled in the pic), it did have a cliff top terrace but with the undermined cliffs and saturated chalk they've lost 9' of ground. The cliffs are changing shape on a daily basis.
Tonight we have the highest tide of the year with a south westerly storm to coincide so a surge iminent......more flooding. The rain is relentless and unlike other parts of the world our authorities are not used to it.......I'm staying in bed tomorrow.
