Scene of Devastation....

Postby Fozzer » Mon Feb 10, 2014 7:50 am

Following my daily dose of Kron4 News from California to get the local weather news for my daily Sim Flights...
This shocking sight confronted me,...>>>

http://news.kron4.com/news/6-killed-by- ... ay-driver/

Car crashes don't get much worse than that...and affecting the Highway Patrol man at the scene?

Where bodies become integrated into the overall construction of the Car.

A wake-up call!

Here in Germany they are called ghost drivers. It happens all the time, people turning onto the Autobahn and then traveling kilometers, often followed by the police sirens blaring and blue lights totally oblivious to the fact it is them in the wrong. More often than not, it is "the older driver" .........Another problem we have and this happens at least a couple of times a year...........suicide by ghost driving. More often than not this results in more than the ghost drivers death........

I cant get out of my head, the image of the Highway Patrol Man in the photograph, affected by what he has just witnessed in the interior of the wreck.

How the police and emergency services cope with such images on their minds, on a daily basis, beats me....

I couldn't cope with it!

Unfortunately, the drunk is rarely killed. They are too relaxed to take much damage from hte crash...pity... :angry-tappingfoot:

They should indeed be put to death, but normally they get a few hours community service, maybe a slight fine, walk out of the court, drive to a bar, and get good and drunk again. Obviously, the punishments are NOT acting as a deterrent, and until the ones who make the laws stop drinking, they never will...
Personally, I could care less what folks do, drink, get stoned, shoot up, don't care, but when they start killing innocents because of their preferred intoxication, THEN I care, and care a lot. To me, drunk driving is attempted murder of every other person on the road, and they should be punishied accordingly, but until they are, it will continue, and people will continue to be shocked and revolted and not do anything....

How can you be arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence?

Is suspicion a crime? Is it a lesser offense than really driving under the influence?

In Florida they would just arrest her for DUI.

People are very, very quick to criticise the police, but forget in a heart beat the images that these people are caring around in their head......for the rest of their lives......Not sure I would swap, although the police force was my back up if I did not make it with aircraft when I was a spring chicken........

Here's an update to the story:

A 21-year-old new mother was charged Thursday with six counts of murder for a wrong-way freeway crash early Sunday near Los Angeles.

Authorities said Olivia Carolee Culbreath, of Fontana, Calif., was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro at high speed heading east on the westbound 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar about 4:45 a.m. Sunday when the car plowed head-on into a 1998 Ford Explorer carrying four members of a Los Angeles-area family. All four died, along with Culbreath's two passengers — her 24-year-old sister and a friend. The driver of a third vehicle that hit the SUV suffered minor injuries.

Culbreath remained hospitalized Thursday in serious condition in the jail ward at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, where she is being held on $6 million bail, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Officer said. It's not known when she will be arraigned.

If convicted, Culbreath, who reportedly gave birth in January, faces possible life in prison.

As a retired tow truck driver of twenty years I could tell you about all the stupidity of drivers and senseless waste of lives I've seen over those years. Unfortunately there's not enough server space on here to cover it all.

Ta for the heads-up on the latest news...>>> http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local ... 33291.html

Six Dead. A serial killer, all in one go.

I'm just glad that she survived, to suffer the consequences of her actions for the remainder of her miserable life.

Big coverage on the Internet.

What a waste of lives.
