Bloody uncouth lot. Trying to put words into my mouth.......I was referring to stuffing the birds of course (British slang usage of the word "birds" in the 60's not withstanding) ;)

Back to boring birds:

I tried measuring one against the wingspan of a Cessna, and as JP says they look huge, but it does depend on what Zoom factor you're using. Zoom out and the bird gets bigger until it's the same size as the plane. Zoom in and it gets smaller. bit counter intuitive that.

@ a zoom factor of 1.0 (default I think) it appears to be about 9 or 10' wingspan which seems about right for a very large Raptor.

I think you were right when you said it was a Sim Bird Pat.

I'm going to go with Red Tail hawk, can you find out which bird it is by looking through the animal/bird files in the Sim and see what is and is not listed? also what area were you flying around? that might help narrow down a species , you got me all curious now but I have to say, that is an AWESOME Capture !!
No matter what species
Gigabyte X79 Chip set Mobo
Intel-i7 4820K CPU/Liquid cooled
Single GTX Titan 6gig GPU/ extreme air cooled
16 gig/1600 MHz quad channel DDR3
1 T/B -Raid-0 array,Risking it all for every ounce of performance until I go with SSD's

wow yancovitch.....where did you get that pic of my mother in law

The bird model name is: ani_birds_Eagles_Thermals so no clues there. This model is used globally in FSX so again no clues.
