To the citizens of the United States of America

What are you laughing at?

topped off with a nice cold glass of Beaver milk.

I dunno, have you ever tried to milk a beaver?? Seems like a very difficult and involved process for a very small return! Not to mention mamma beavers can be quite defensive when separated from their kits! I sure don't want to be milking away and have a pair of teeth like those suddenly whip around at me! They chainsaw through trees with those things, a bit slower than a chainsaw perhaps, but just as surely! Scary! :chores-chopwood:

But I mostly relate to many of my American Chums as their original country of origin!

What if this is my country of origin?? I'm at least 3/4 Native American, Nez Perce tribe, I think. What I was told anyway. I don't have to shave but once a week and at 54 still have a full head of dark hair, no grey or loss at all, so I'm fairly sure the genes are in there someplace! O0 :violence-bowandarrow:
The way I look at it, you're all illegal aliens invading MY country and can take all your petty squabbles back across the bad water to where you came from. :greetings-wavegreen: You can keep Manhattan, tho, no use at ALL for that liitle piece of land, and the beads are sure pretty.....
Other than all that I love all of you and am glad you all have welcomed me into this wonderful community! You're a great bunch of folks and the friendship and comraderie extended to me has been wonderful! :D Thank you all! :romance-grouphug:

Have a great day and fun time flying all!
Pat☺

Migration from 12,000 years ago....>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous ... e_Americas

Much lost in the past!

Quote:
"United States:
Main articles: Native Americans in the United States, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiians
(Photo) Norma Howard, Choctaw artist from Oklahoma
(Photo) Nowadlook (Nora) Ootenna, Iñupiat from Alaska

Indigenous peoples in what is now the contiguous United States, including their descendants, are commonly called "Amerindian", "American Indians", or simply "Indians" domestically, but are officially referred to as "Native Americans" by the USCB. In Alaska, indigenous peoples, which include Athabascan, Aleut, Alutiiq, Cup'ik, Haida, Inuit, Iñupiat, Tlingit, and Yup'ik, are referred to collectively as Alaska Natives. In Hawaii, indigenous Polynesian peoples, which include Marshallese, Samoan, Tahitian, and Tongan, are referred to collectively as Native Hawaiians.

Native Americans in the United States make up 2 percent of the population. In the 2010 census 2.9 million people identified as Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native alone, and 5.2 million people identified as U.S. Native Americans, either alone or in combination with one or more ethnicity or other races.[5] 1.8 million are recognized as registered tribal members.[citation needed] Tribes have established their own criteria for membership, which are often based on blood quantum, lineal descent, or residency. A minority of U.S. Native Americans live in land units called Indian reservations. Some southwestern U.S. tribes, such as the Kumeyaay, Cocopa, Pascua Yaqui and Apache span both sides of the US–Mexican border. Haudenosaunee people have the legal right to freely cross the US–Canadian border. Athabascan, Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian, Inupiat, Blackfeet, Nakota, Cree, Anishinaabe, Huron, Lenape, Mi'kmaq, Penobscot, and Haudenosaunee, among others live in both Canada and the US."
End quote.

Not many "originals" left now!

"Native Americans"

I think that it was somewhere back in the '90s, but it could have been the late '80s, the US government found, to their great surprise, that a disproportionate number of lawyers were American Indians.

Looking in to it, they found that lawyers can be a little bit obsessive about words.

Native - born in a particular place. —used to refer to the place where a person was born and raised

American - of or pertaining to the United States of America or its inhabitants.

I wonder how long before Chris Columbus realised his geography was out? Now of course, the whole world is being overrun by real Indians from India.

Perhaps.

But I find it funny that an anti-death penalty organization would mention only the "sanctioned" executions of American Indians.

If you were to read the stories from before and after the French and Indian Wars, you'd find it's only exceeded in savagery by that of The Rape of Nanking.

Great pleasure was taken by both sides in prolonged cruelty to those they could catch.

Although, where the whites would kill and torture women & children, the Indians would often keep small children, and sometimes the women, to integrate them into the tribe.

Hope not.

I'm always reading & hearing about the Utes of today causing trouble.

not that I'm aware of, but I've been wrong once or twice in my life :D And I TRY not to cause trouble, it can get darn expensive and handcuffs are bloody uncomfortable! :naughty:

Not to mention the natives of Llanfairpwchgwyngychgogerychwyndrobrllantysiliogogogoch, now boyo!

I will certainly try to refrain from mentioning them at all costs! I can't pronnounce the bloody word, let alone try to type it without getting finger cramps!

Some southwestern U.S. tribes, such as the Kumeyaay, Cocopa...

When I lived in Yuma, we had a large population of Cocopah tribal members. They spelled it with the "H" on the end, just fyi...They have a nice Casino and had a really nice waterpark going for a couple years, but going to the river was cheaper and so that idea kinda died aborning. Just thought I'd mention that little tid-bit. The name kinda jumped out at me

Anyway Glad no one took offense, I realize after going back and reading what I write after a day or two that I can be abrasive and offensive at times. I really mean no harm or offense to anyone, just don't always edit what comes out...

Have a great day all!

Offensive ???

Now you do have me confused. ???

How can anyone be upset over milking a beaver?

Or a shaved one for that matter.

That's not to say that I'm crazy about EVERYTHING related to beavers.

Sometimes things can be taken further than I'm willing to go. But that may just be me.
