Repaint posting

Hi All.
I've just finished my first repaint. It's of the Posky Boeing 747 in Aer Lingus colours (Green) & I'm Starting the second repaint, Aer Lingus again, with the white livery from the 1970's.
The question is, do I need permission to post the repaints, you know from Aer Lingus, Posky Etc. because I've not done it before, I just need to know the correct way.

Mail the author, asking for permission to upload a REPAINT of the aircraft.
If you dont get any answers in a few days, it should be ok. (Make a note of this in your Readme file).
DO NOT UPLOAD THE WHOLE AIRCRAFT, just the repaint. You can make a link to the original in the upload.
