Phil Everly

Postby Hagar » Sat Jan 04, 2014 3:14 am

I don't usually comment on the death of celebrities but I'm very sorry to hear that Phil Everly has passed away. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-25601185

Everly died in the Los Angeles suburb of Burbank of complications from lung disease, his wife, Patti, told the Los Angeles Times.

"We are absolutely heartbroken," she said, adding that the disease was the result of a lifetime of smoking.

Thanks for the heads-up, Doug....

Died far too young at 74 (smoking).

Just saw something on that before I tuned in here, very sad. The Everly Bros were very influential to many. We'll miss him.

Huge loss to the world. He'll be sorely missed. But, as the Righeous Brothers put it, he's got his gig in Rock & Roll Heaven now 8-) And he'll be in very good company :)
Have fun, fly high, far, and free!

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969
