It really is unbelievable.....

..just how much fun I am having with my brand-new, snazzy, i7, Tower, super-computer!.... ....!

The whole experience has suddenly come to life for the first time, since Flight Simming...and all my other graphic-intensive games!

Discussing with one of my Sons the reality of NOW throwing away all my mountains of old/ancient computers, and all their associated hardware and software collection, which is filling up all my spare bedrooms for the past 34+ years...(might come in handy..one day?).....
......."NAH!"....my Lad said..."Its ALL obsolete now, and of no further use to anybody, anymore...trust me"!

I hate throwing working things away...but there comes a time in life when sensible things must be done, and getting rid of all my collection of electronic "Junk" must be transported to the local landfill site..(or some place in China/South America?).

To give you some idea, I haven't thrown any of my vast collection of computer "stuff" away since the 1970's. and I am now buried under it!

So, in reality, my new hi-tech computer has replaced all that old, out-of-date stuff, so there is no point of retaining it... (he says)...!

I often think someone will be glad of it...but he says..."NO DAD, Its OBSOLETE!"...."Its BLOODY USELESS JUNK!"...!

So there you go...my "Sensible Son" is taking control of my life...(as they do!)..... ;) ...!

Paul.... ....!

P.S...I'm still keeping my old 8/16-bit computers and games machines; (Spectrum/Commodore/Atari/Amiga/Megadrive, etc, and all their hardware+software, 'cos they are collectors items...(I reckon!)..... ;) ...!
..so my spare bedrooms will only be partially emptied.... ...!

...... .....!

There is nothing quite like that first flight on a new computer when you realise you can put all the sliders to full........... O0

Hi Paul...

When folks would fly in to visit they would remark on the aviation items in the hangar. Often asking how I ever found anything.

Well I am a neat and tidy person and everything has it's place and was in it's place....

I don't understand folks who leave tools laying in the grass, on the driveway or outside anywhere. Seems like an awful waste of money to me.

Now for throwing anything away, I don't. Catalogue it and store it is what I do.

Paul are you hanging stuff from the ceilings yet?
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
