Been quite a while since I last posted any pictures, so this is a big update.......Rear end is close to completion, just the hubs to torque. Front need brakes to finish it off.

Yes, the (as my German friends say) suspension is "very British"........oil damper double pistons mounted above the springs, a little quirky...?
Most possibly designed by a man in a garden shed wearing a flat cap and brown lab coat....It is an MGB roadster (1977)

My old Vintage racing 1931 Riley 9, (in British Racing Green), had a complete lorry-type, rolling Chassis, with a bolt-on aluminium body!

It's looking good Matt. In '72' I bought a new MG Midget, I sold it to my younger brother in late 1973. We started talking to each other again in the early 80's.

One of the guys in my shop bought an MG. I think and MGB but I am often wrong....Only unique thing is that he is just over 6'11" tall. Watching this guy unfold from the inside of this dinky little car was pretty amazing! He learned the joys of balancing carbs, positive ground electrics and all the rest of the fun you get with an MG
Come to think, we had 3 guys over 6'10" tall. Had the most incredible volleyball team you ever saw! Put them in the front line and low and behold! Unbeatable!

Yours is coming along nicely tho! Looking good so far!

It does not get any better Sean. No electronics, everything is held together with nuts, bolts and screws. No special fasteners and for the depth I am going to, no special tools. Even extracting the rear drive shafts was done using a couple of G clamp and an over sized socket. The only problems I have had are a couple with the routing of the brake pipe and handbrake over the rear axle. The old maintenance manual is not so clear and I did not photograph this area before taking everything apart.....However the online help from the MG community that is available is enormous......
