Flight sim equipment orders

Just a passing thought.

This is about receiving "mail order" parts in the US, but I'm sure that it'll apply elsewhere.

I found a receipt from WalMart just now. It was for a Saitek PC Pro Flight Multi Panel that they had as an online sale. There was an option to have the order was shipped to my local WalMart for pickup with no shipping fee.

So just to see how well it worked, I did it that way. Needless to say it worked out well.


But the passing thought was that if anyone lived in an area where shipping packages disappeared, this was an alternative.

I just did a quick look -n- see. Walmart & amazon prices are very close, with Walmart winning, sometimes, when you factor in the shipping charged by Amazon.

Walmart will also ship some items (free) to FedEx stores. There is one about a mile away from me, right next to the grocery store.

I just ordered a USB cable for $3 with free shipping. Amazon was $3 plus $6 shipping.
