Boeing 707-420 package not fixed

Postby starcity » Fri Nov 22, 2013 9:07 pm

Hello,
The Boeing 707-420 package posted july 10, 2008 by Archive is not fixed. It seems that this program missed a fixed file.Several times I downloaded this package from Simviation site, but each time the package's aircrafts appear completely black with my FSX program.
The package airplanes'scheme colours are disappeared and all airplanes come on blind black.
Another problem with this package is the cockpit window doesn't open as described over read me file supported with the package, there is something wrong with configuration.
I need your help to overcome these two problems.
Thank you to guide me how to fix this package airplanes appearence with my FSX program.

I'm having a look at it now. (maybe a problem with textures in fsx acceleration)

Meanwhile there is also this one

Pete,

That is true, problem is: " textures of this Boeing 707-420 package" are not work at all in FSX program, but they work well in FSX acceleration..I tested before.

11/24/2013 / 9:45am Cst time USA

I went and downloaded this package of that 707

Then I Injected it into my FSX Gold / Acceleration edition.

Everything worked fine ( see photos)

No special tweaking, needed !

Cockpit and gauges show up fine

Panel mode & gauges show up fine

Ran it down the runway and took off,,, no problem, flaps work, thrust works , landing gear works.

All 4 engines work

The only problem I see or had , was I could NOT get her - that 2nd Captain to talk to me, NOT even a hug or kiss, or a feel !!! :D

Now that does need Fixin !

Over all, I found no problems from this download of this particular Boeing 707 of Alrots from 2008.

I might suggest, that maybe possibly, the user "TURN OFF DX10 Preview", in the settings menu of FSX, which is located on the main screen.

having DX10 "on" will cause some aircraft to NOT show up properly !! very important, NOT all Aircraft are DX10 capable.

Below are screen shots of the 707 in Question !

No problems working & showing up in my FSX Gold / Acceleration

for I personally have over 4,800 Aircraft installed in my FSX Gold / Acceleration.

thats 2 years of Injecting Aircraft into my Simulator, 90% of them Manually !!!

I just tried it in fsx-sp2 and p3d, both work fine.

the readme notes a known issue with low end vid cards.
are you sure this is the same file ?

It doesn't need acceleration at all ,it need at least service pack 1 , I made a small update for this old model ,I remove the girls and add wipers ,and rain FX ,and few other stuffs

Right Below the old version at the bottom of the page behind the old model look for "Boeing 707 Upgrade "

http://simviation.com//fsnd/Downloads.htm

Pete I'm almost sure I upload it into simviation server too ,Just in case I'm uploading it into the main server right now

Alex

PS :? once you have the newer file please DESTROY the old one for christ sake (I'm not too proud of the update either  but its better )
