Hahahaha!!! Thanks! When in the Marine Corps over 40 years ago, I found the Mustangers were alot more easy to get along with as they had been an enlisted and an NCO at one time,where as the boot Butterbars who were fresh out of OCS and had less time in than I wanted to press their new found authority to the limits. I did my best to grind against their nerves without putting my pay and rank in jeopardy ,hehehehe!

I was in the Corps 25+ years ago! Semper Fi Marine! We had a Mustanger as our AIMD Avionics Officer, Lt. Cooper by name, I was on lunch phone watch the day they called to ask for a "Capt." Cooper. I got a big grin on my face as he was well liked by us all, and yelled into his office that a CAPTAIN Cooper was wanted on the phone.....his head popped out and he got a huge grin on his face too before he went back in and answered the call Later on that day he slipped me his Lt's bars as a thank you. He was a great officer indeed! Unfortunately, with the promo came a transfer and we got a butter bar outta OCS that cared more for his bicycle business in town than AIMD AVI It was almost like we were in his way....oh well, they came and went....

And there is my little sea story for the day

Hahahaha!!! Outstanding Brother! Semper Fi! Yeah,we used to mess with the Butterbars. I was at Ammo Co. at Camp Henoko in Okinawa in about '73,and we got a new 2nd Lt in a week earlier. He tried to shove around and was a jerk.The major noticed,but didnt say anything at the time. One day we were in the ASP office,and an RTF (Rough Terrain Forklift) was coming down the hill towards the office with a pallet of napalm canisters (unfilled) when the banding broke.The clanging could be heard as the canisters rolled down the hill toward the ASP.The Lt was by the window and saw the canisters headed toward us and practically went THROUGH the door to get outta there! We flippin' died laughing...the Major,GySgy,Sgt and I (Cpl),as the canisters were light enough that 2 guys could easily carry them,and wouldnt have come thru the wall and were unfilled.Hilarious moments for sure! God,I miss those days.
