Virtual Pilot Yoke question

Postby matthew954 » Thu Oct 17, 2013 7:15 pm

Hi all,

Been a long time since I've posted here. I've been getting back into flight simming again, now that I'm getting into light sport aviation. Recently I was able to get my hands on a Saitek ST290 PRO flight stick, CH Products Pro Pedals, and a Virtual Pilot flight yoke. I got them all from Goodwill. The stick and pedals work great! The yoke I can't use because its an older model that came before the USB version. It has a 15 pin plug on it. Are there any adapters I can get to make it fit my iMac? I'd like to use the yoke on the aircraft that utilize them. In particular the Cessna 150.

I found this cable at Amazon, but it says that it only works for the Sidewinder Precision Pro. Any chance of it working with the Virtual Pilot?

On an ordinary IBM PC....the 15-pin plug was designed to plug into the "Sound Card" 15-pin Game Socket, fitted in the old PCI slot on the old motherboards

I don't suppose many of us know much about Apple Macs?... ...!

Beware of "Adaptors", many of them don't do what you think they will do!...I've been caught out before!

Paul... ;) ...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.
