Friendly Panels FMC

Postby nichos » Mon Oct 14, 2013 1:52 pm

Hi,

I used for a few years Friendly Panels FMC OK but, recently had to reinstall it in Lear45 & both CRJ & ATR panels appear with the bottom of it missing as per attached.

Tried to change some of these numbers below with out success. Can anybody solve this problem please?
window_size= 0.270, 0.567, window_pos= 0.730, 0.430
gauge00= fp_fmc2fsx!fmcCRJ_X, 0,0,325,512

If the problem is the size of the window then you can alter that by changing the numbers for the window_size one number is width and the other is length. However the size of the actual gauge could be wrong as well. I believe that the numbers 325,512 are the length and width of the gauge itself.
First thing first backup the panel cfg file before you do anything. Than I would try altering one of the gauge numbers first that way you will know which number is affecting the length. If you find that changing the gauge numbers have no effect than your problem is the window.
Think of it this way the window describes a box of a certain length and width and if you try to put something in the box that is to big one way or the other than it will just chop off wont wont fit.
I think you will find the problem is going to be the window size and not the position of the window.
I use FS Panel Studio to solve problems like these since it takes all of the guess work out.
The biggest problem here is you do no know if some part of the actual panel is covering up the gauge. With FS Panel Studio you can stretch the window and position the gauge any where you want as you will see the actual panel the same way you see it in the SIm.
I must come across as some kind of salesman here but I am just trying to be helpful below is the link for FS Panel Studio.

SOLVED

Thanx,

You are right, it was the size, & changed the two numbers by one, it is now:-
[Window02]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=556,478 //size WAS this 456,378, and changed it to this 556,478 to show more.
position=8
visible=0
ident=GPS_PANEL
window_size=0.500
no_luminous=1

gauge00= fp_fmc2fsx!fmcATR_X, 0,0,325,712

//gauge00=fp_fmc2fsx!fmcCRJ_X, 0,0,325,533

These two lines above I change the panel from CRJ to ATR

And now I see the amount I need:-
