Ryan L-17/U-18 Navion

Looking all over the place for this thing, and I've found nothing. It's weird because Ryan built almost 3,000 of them. If it were a more obscure type I would understand my lack of results, but for the Navion I'm like WHAT THE $*#)?!

Try searching under North American as they were the originators of the design. It was based on a civilian version of the mustang

as far as i know, there are at least three versions of the Ryan available as freeware. I prefer the one made by Tim Conrad (Filename l-17b-c.zip, at FlightSim.com, there is also a version here on Simviation - "FSX/FS2004 Ryan L-17B Navion Hellenic Air Force 91962 Package" under FSX Props - but it is only the Navion B and a older version. ), it's a nice model with good dynamics and a fine VC. There are also some good repaints, civil ones as well as military. The only think I miss is a Rangemaster version.

FS2004 North American/Ryan L-17B/C Navion. Military version of the the North American/Ryan Navion, the L-17 series served in large numbers with the USAF, US Army and National Guard Units. The L-17's rugged structure, four seats and good field performance made it a useful and capable liaison and utility aircraft. L-17A's were built by North American, then Ryan took over manufacturing and produced L-17B's. Later, L-17A's were updated to L-17C's, with more fuel and engine power. This model has new texture format, new .air file, couple of new gauges, and .cfg file combining USAF and Army textures. By Tim Conrad.
