I take it that you bought it?

And you only "got some positive results on FPS increase"?

I looked at one of those "reviews" that seem to be more like a sales pitch.

Did you just get "some positive results" ", or did you get "• Extra Frames from 30% up to 200%"

From their website, which I won't name.
• Extra Frames from 30% up to 200%
• Ultimate smoothness.
• Blurries Elimination
• Stutters Elimination
• Fibers speed increase
• Terrain textures speed control
• Extra Lod Radius
• Control of High Definition Textures
• FSX messages control
• Hyper Threads CPU’s control
• FSX Process Priority control
• FSX Process turbo control

Sorry, but it sounds to much like a TV commercial for exercise equipment where the people doing the exercise have great big smiles on their face, so you know that it just has to be fun. :D

So much fun. PUFF PUFF PUFF PUFF :D :D

See me smile. PUFF PUFF PUFF PUFF :D :D :D

There are a far number of ways to give FSX a boost. They're free. Try one and see if it works. No? Change it back and try another one. Does it work? Yes. Keep it and try another tweak tip. Does it work? ad infinitum ad nauseum.

It may be that I'm feeling a little touchy about buying things that are supposed to make FSX "better". And some of what I've paid for has done very little, if not actually caused harm.

Anyone want my REX Essential Plus Overdrive? I still have a few problems left over from that one.

The same tweaks that FSX Booster uses can be done by yourself for free with a little research and effort.

If you're not comfortable tweaking the FSX cfg. file yourself then FSX Booster may prove handy..........

Myself, I've had excellent results with Bjote's Tweaking and Tuning Tool for FSX (It's free ;) )

I agree with CHUCK.
That tool is very handy and a must have ;)

You'll get a backup automatically.

I for one would not have any use for it as Stated you can make the same changes your self granted it might take you a while to get the same results. I have to admit when i first saw it I did take a look at it but once I read though it I saw it for what it was and said no way.
The bottom line here is if you like than by all means use it. But I will stick to the other method this way I know exactly what is being done.
What will happen when you decide to install better scenery you will have to run it again and keep your fingers crossed it works for you.

It basically tweeks your cfg and it does it for you. It also gives you simple options to choose from. I use it too, you really can't lose because you can return back to your original set up if you don't like it.. And it's free..

I also use a free product called Game Booster that is helpful to me. It shuts down running processes that you don't need.

If you really want to tweak FSX properly, see NickN's Guide, and don't ruin you FSX.cfg with some online auto tweaking tool that applies worthless and nonsensically tweaks (I've looked-up the tweaks it applies myself).

Also check out the FSX Bible, also by NickN (currently being written). I've reinstall my OS (Vista 32-bit) and fallowed his guide along the way, and I'm experiencing a big difference because of it.

I am aware that NickN and Bejotes don't agree. But.. I've done both and gotten some improvement from Bejotes tweek AFTER following Nicks guide religiously.

+1......

@Trooper...........you have to have hidden folders enabled. If you do, then the path to the folder you need for Windows 7 is User/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX. If you've downloaded the tweaked FSX cfg. file from Bjote's site then all you need to do is place it in this folder and overwrite when prompted ;)
