Its such a shame....

We are supposed to be supporting suppliers directly when purchasing their products, rather than dealing via the likes of Amazon, etc....

But this morning I have spent hours desperately trying, yet again, to download and purchase; "Ultimate Terrain Europe for FS 2004" from Flight 1...and failing dismally...!
It reminded me of the complicated rigmarole I had to go through to successfully download and purchase "Ultimate Terrain USA for FS 2004" from Flight 1 a few years ago!
...and that's without going through the complicated download, verification, and re-installation procedure, after a new HDD fitting!

I cannot for the life of me understand why Flight 1 have to make the procedure so mind-numblingly complicated for the installation, purchasing, and re-installation, of their products!

So...this afternoon I decided to purchase a used, "as new", Jewel Case copy from Amazon...by return of post...no problem!
(...and I will have the DVD as a back up for re-installation in the future)

So that's another sale that Flight 1 have lost out on, just because of their overly complicated download and purchase procedure for their products!

Why do they persist in doing it?.... ...!

Paul...disgruntled... :( ...!

P.S...Flight 1 no longer offer some of their products on DVD...which is always the better option!

I agree Paul!

Some sites are really stupid...

Looks to me, they got some high tech page makers, and forgot the living customers, they should make money from O0

I wont mention M$ and the stupid activation key to FSX

I fondly remember my LAGO FSSE and LAGO FSE, and FS Navigator downloaded programs.... :D ..!

All I had to do was download the program, run it for a trial period, decide to purchase it, and then receive the activation Key by E-mail, and insert the Key into the running program to active it for full functionality!

Each of the installation files are saved on CD, so to reinstall all I have to do is install the programs from my CD, and then insert my (carefully saved!) Key into the running program to activate it....every time...SIMPLE!
No need to contact LAGO or FS Navigator!
Why cant Flight 1 do that?

Paul... ...!

My "Amazon" Ultimate Terrain Europe is already on its way by return of post!

After I did a reformat I remember trying to get GEX back, The only thing I could find was the option to purchase on their site. Flight 1 is a great place to purchase things so I don't mean to bash them but you are right, it's a job to recover purchases. I managed to get GEX back, after two days I found this very obscure path to the redownload. And.. of course I can't remember what it was now. The second time around I saved the download (huge file) but I haven't tried to use the backup yet.
