errattic behavour after loading F-18

Postby EVVFCX » Mon Jul 22, 2013 3:59 pm

Hi Guys,

This isn a strange one, did a flight in airforce one, default 747, from sfo to klax at 11,00ft.
landed 6L at los Angeles, taxied in to park, throttle to idle, flaps raised and spoilers tucked away.

Decided to do low level to phoenix in F-18 aggressor, pressed Y and slewed to 6L, pressed Y again the aircraft set off on it's own and tipped up onto right wing.

Strange I thought, reloaded flight and relocated at 6L, same thing again, so reloaded and used external view, left hand elevator half was up and right half was down, right aileron was down and left was up, all indicating attempt to roll left
but as aircraft goes on it's own, it behaves like your trying to turn left at too high speed and tips onto the right wing.

Loaded a 777 and it's similar apart from can see right hand side 'small' flap is down other is up.

If I then reload the the sfo klax flight, it's un controllable without autopilot.

Anybody anyidea whats going on?

This was from working fine one day when i save the sfo klax flight and reloaded another day till i loaded the F-18

regards

Steve.
The first thing that occurred to me when I read your post was that you have saved a default flight with the auto pilot still turned on. I've done it myself with similar results.

In order to prevent this from happening all you havr to do is while still in slew mode press F1 this will prevent this from happening then when you press Y the plane will not take off on you.

Hi Guys, thanks for the tips but it made no difference, I forgot to say that throttle was fully back and even tried F1 to force throttle to idle via keyboard.

Strange thing was that it would only do this after having loaded the F-18 and having done the F18 related missions without problem I found it odd.

In the end I've uninstalled acceleration and done repair on fsx and then re-installed accerelation and all Ok, what I was doing before is working without any hicup.

cheers guys.
