FSX stops loading at 86%

Hi all

Many may agree that FSX can be the mother of problems when you first start to go crazy with addons, and i have had loads of problems with my FSX mostly caused by all kinds of addons and modifications, and i have been able to solve them all... that is until now. Recently my FSX started to stop loading everytime the loadbar reached 86%, and then crashes shortly after. I have done a lot of research on the internet and at various flightsimming sites, and couldn't really find a solution. It is most likely some addon causing the problem but i can't figure out which one.

Have any of you guys ever had the same problem after installing an addon?

Have you tried deleting your FSX cfg. file? FSX will build a new one next time you start it

I know this is the last thing you want to hear but your only solution may be to uninstall and reinstall.
I know this is a big pain it the behind this is just one reason why you want to backup files.
Just about everyone has a DVD burner buy you some disks and copy the entire FSX folder onto it.
Then all you have to do is to copy it back and chose the replace option.
One other option that might work for you is to try system restore and go back to a time when it last worked. But I have to warn you this may not work but it is better than having to do the other by far.

I've said this before, and i'll say it again.
Everytime you add something to any flight sim, try it out, best after a restart.
Then you know what is making trouble, and you can delete it!
