If you are using the spot view to look at the nose wheel than what you see would be correct. You are looking at the plane from nose on right would be left and left would be right. The same as your car if you turn your wheel to the left than go out front and look at it from your view point the tire will be pointing to the right.
Now if while taxing you turn the plane to the left and it goes to the right than you have a problem.
Maybe you forgot about the mirror effect.
