Jetranger here with a Travel Question

have any of you ever been to San Cabos, Mexico, on the very Southern Tip of the Baja pensuinela,,, in Southern Mexico ??

I have researched it extensively, both thru travel sites and thru YOU TUBE Videos, posted by travelers who shot footage there and also GOOGLE EARTHED it,, up close, very close,, the Beaches look kinda rocky to me,,, and the Hotels,, don't look like there actually but about 3 or 4 if that, and very very spread out,,,

However, I went and researched ARUBA,, and the Beaches look more flat and white, with many hotels along the beach within walking distance, it looks better than San Cabos Mexico,,,,

I have the opportunity to go to either place,,, with my sorta Girl Friend Model Chick,, who I've known for 13 years,, were just really good friends nothing to personel or involved,,,

So, were thinking of going,, I think i'd like ARUBA better, since were staying for 14 days / Nights to loaf and relax,,

was wondering if anybodys been to either place or both, and could compare the two ?

What I found fascinating, after Google-mapping the Baja Peninsular some time ago for my Sim Flights, was the fact that the Interstate 1 from Seattle, doesn't end at San Diego, but extends all the way down to the far end of the Baja Peninsular to Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo!

That's an awfully long drive by motor car/motor bike!

The end of the Peninsular is certainly very rocky, when Google-mapped close-up, and not much to see, or visit, in the surrounding areas!

I believe were settling on Aruba,, I just didn't like the Cabos Mexico , the way it looked,, and both are priced about the same with in a few hundred dollars of each other actually,,,

The hotels and beachs look way better than Cabos, Mexico on the Baja peninsula,,, from what I've seen on Google Earth and the YOU TUBE Videos that tourists shot and posted,,

So,, I believe Aruba it is !

Now watch me get Kidnapped,,,, in Aruba and be all over the news like that 1 girl,, hopefully, it'll be by a bunch of hot goodlooking 25 yr.old chicks !

The only "Aruba" I could find, on Google Street Maps, anywhere near any water, was "Aruba, Caribe, Chetumal, Mexico".

Right down the bottom end of Mexico, on the Atlantic coast.

I think the Baja peninsula is very ugly place. I just have seen the northern part. We went down from San Diego trough Tijuana (dangerous place) to a restaurant at the pacific coast. We could see dolphins next to the beach. The beach ist terrific, but not nice for bathing (cold stream and large waves). The land is just a brown desert with hardly any green. The Mexican food in the restaurant was excellent.
The baja is famous for humback whale watching. I haven't done this, but I've seen them passing by San Diego in fall. They go all down an head north within the bay. I think the baja peninsula is something for whale watchers and nature freaks.
I think the nice touristic part of Mexico nowadays is Quintana Roo with Cancun as famous place there. But to the south are many excellent places and beautiful beaches and hotels. Tulum is very romantic and know from the movie Against all Odds. I've been there. Great place.

So my conclusion for your model kind girlfriend would be to go to Aruba. Do you mean the island, which is next to Bonaire and Curacao? Lot's of US people there. I was there 20 years ago on all three islands. Has nice hotels and beaches. We went there snorkling and while watching fish, they were constantly hunted by pelicans, diving into the sea. We stayed there in the Holiday Inn first. So all night long we heard other couples having fun. We then got a better place in a dutch hotel (can't remember the name), where we got a better airline discount. (I worked for Swissair then It's certainly a nice place from water and beach quality. You can even travel by bus around the island with the people from there. It's just a boring thing waiting for the bus on the street.

I've never been to Aruba but for what it's worth, a guy that I worked for went down there EVERY year.

I don't know if I could go there for 2 weeks though. I'd die of boredom after the first week.
