I wonder what would happen if ya, Jammed All the Payware & Freeware add on utilties thats out into FSX

everything from REX to moving map,, too all thats available out there,,,including sceneries, real world weather,,, everything out there

would FSX even work still ?

whats their like 20 or 30 different programs out there,,, suppposedly their all for FSX, but, do they actually work well with each oyher in-conjuction with each other ??

will this add on',, work well with this type of add on,, and so forth !

I always kinda imagined it like, trying to eat too much, and end up with Heart Burn or indigestion, as not all foods really mix well together once in our picky systems, known as our Stomachs !!

and when all does not mix well, what happens

We head to that Ceramic device known as the Toilet !

I see on so many forums, users having problems with this Flight Sim Add On' or that particular Add On',,, and so forth.

I have to wonder, are they maybe trying to Jam / Inject too much Add On's whatever into the FSX Sim,, and maybe they all don't work well together ??

kinda like Drinking , Milk and Whisky and Apple Juice, one right after the other,,,,,,

anyway, just a thought, and so - I thought , I'd Ask ~ !

I keep most of my FSX stuff to a minimal, as far as utilties go,, and some add On's,,

For I don't won't to overload , and upset my FSX Stomach, and end up taking "Pepto-Bismol" ~ !!

or developing an ulcer !

Your right there are numerous programs out there for the flight simulator(s). Many which don't draw my attention, and there were a few that did.
Suppose like you said install them all, it wouldn't in my opinion work well at all. It would be like some people see there flight simulator as right now, a blue screen, crashes, and lets not forget freezes.
All the programs do work with the flight simulator as they state, however not all at once. Some people run 2 or 3, or even more PC's as to accomodate the wide variety of programs. To me this would be the feesible way.
Scenery being proably one of the worst just for the main reason FSX was created as 10m resolution, and other add-ons created at 5m, and 2m, and 1m resolution. Which each of them would require their own personal preference setting for renduring correctly when flown.
I use FSX scenery whenever possible, it looks great with a good set up. Rocky Mountain flying and West Coast U.S if you don't have a scenery land pack, your missing quite abit as FSX didn't do as good as they could have in the mountainous regions. I figure out ahead of time where I will be flying and set-up as required before I fire up the flight simulator. REX works great with the FSX I have, very compatable. Of course I am a XP user as well. I believe that XP was the requirement for FSX.
Vista, Win7, and now Win8 do have their share of occurances with FSX 4sure (unstable platforms for FSX). All are capable of running FSX but requires some, to lots of research on a individuals end to get the program to function correctly. Win8 seeming to be the most foreign to having FSX installed on it. Win8 the APP of all APPS I call it. Requires DOS work to undo the Secure Boot, (which allows Win8 to boot almost instantainiously by the way) for starters. Enabling the 3.5 .NET Frameworks, and more 4sure. Took me 3 days to help a friend over VoIP protocol who bought a new PC with Win8 on it, and to get FSX to install along with add-ons, and with a nVidia GPU card to install. He had the new PC for 1 1/2 weeks and was ready to throw it out the window, as he learned that FSX was not just a plug and play with Win8. It has been running now for almost 3 months error free. He is one happy camper, I did for him as he flys for my VA. Thats the only reason I did this for him. If you don't fly for my VA, sorry can't help you :)

Like you said try to run them all at the same time on one machine, what would happen. I prefer Alka Seltzer.
