Heinkel He-219 was a outstanding night fighter, in daytime looks very well too. In this ocasion it´s flying over the River Plate (Argentina)

I thought that the camouflage pattern was as stupid as could be. That is until I saw the last picture of the plane over the water.

Maybe I don't really know everything? :shock:

Night fighters aircrafts had a special camouflage pattern, the bottom was painted in black to blend it with the night sky and the back was light gray similar to the clouds. Strange but effective
