Speed Indicator

Postby Bradner » Sat Mar 30, 2013 2:40 pm

Hello some days before i downloaded a package with the austrian fleet and when i try to play after take off the aircraft speed indicator shows 0 kts as my current speed. This cannot be real because the plane would stall. Because of this fact the engines work in idle and finally planes crashes because of overspeeding. Whats the problem? Thank you!

If the airspeed registers fine at first but then drops out after a short while, this will be because the pitot tube that measures the airflow has blocked up with ice.

As a matter of routine, switch on the pitot-heat prior to take off and switch it off again once landed safely.

Regards,

Rob.

I've never gone near REX so would not know where to start. Try Googling to see if it has a support forum somewhere, maybe.

I have REX, (and REX Weather Engine), installed in my FS 2004 for years, and have never had any problems with it....

(....mind you, that's probably because I always run my FS 2004, and not my FSX!)... ;) ... ;) ...!
