Multiplayer Voice Chat

Postby D. Miller » Sun Jan 24, 2010 8:47 pm

I am at my wits end trying to figure out why I cannot talk to other pilots live while in multiplayer.  I have tried several rooms, checked to make sure my transmit key is correct, etc..  I am using Windows 7.  I have calibrated my mic on my computer.  I checked out the help section in FSX, and it was little help.  I read in another thread that some people are using team speak.  Is that worth while?  Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, direct connecting to the server of choice (not through gamespy) and using Teamspeak is your best bet. TS is really easy to use once you get a handle on the GUI format. Give it a try!

I have noticed that gamespy, well.....sucks.  Is there better option?

I will try teamspeak.

Just direct connect using the IP of your favorite servers.

Also, take a look at this website:

Install.....and run, FSHostSpy 1.3.

This will show all the Multiplayer Servers, and their IP Addresses and their Web Addresses, and which Pilots are on line!

Note the Address, and insert the desired IP Address into the FS 2004/FSX Sim Multiplayer window box....

...search...and Join!

Sim V Multiplayer IP Address is...
78.46.212.155
or...
fs.netfrag.org

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator...and a netfrag... ;D...!

Tip:
Put a Short-cut of "FSHostSpy" next to your Flight Sim Short-cut on your desktop for instant access!...;)...!

...and Bookmark this address:... http://cockpit.netfrag.org:81/
to check who is on-line at the time...;)...!
