Gizz....
If you are all using FS 2004, have you tried using the Sim V Server (which most/all of us use)?
http://cockpit.netfrag.org:81/
Easy, instant connection...and Free!........!
Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004....FS Navigator... 8-)...!
(FSX may be a little more complicated, but still available through the same Server?)
If you use a Router, the usual Router Port problems must be sorted out first.

How knowledgeable are you with ports?
For some reason 6073 and 2322-???? always time out on me...
Although a majority of them do not. I am trying to connect to the fs2004 simv server but can't due to port problems.
More information is on my thread.

...and now use just a simple external Zoom Wired ADSL Modem exclusively, connected directly to the 'Phone Line...with no Port problems whatsoever!... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

I feel your Pain Tai.... [smiley=evil.gif]......!
As I mentioned in the Multiplayer Thread, I threw out my troublesome Router many years ago because of Port Problems during Multiplayer......and now use just a simple external Zoom Wired ADSL Modem exclusively, connected directly to the 'Phone Line...with no Port problems whatsoever!... For me it was a case of priorities...
(a) Use the Modem+Router for Internet Browsing and abandon the On-Line Games (Flight Simulator), etc....
(b) Or dump the Router altogether and enjoy Browsing and playing the On-Lines Games every day, with just the Modem....
The two never worked successfully together!......!
