...I don't think so....

A BIG monthly usage is more due to downloading lots of Video Films, etc, and LOTS of Music files......and live streaming lots of Files....
...is this what you are doing?...;)... ::)...!

My Monthly allowance is 40 GB but I don't approach anything like that with my daily Sim Flights....
...in fact my Monthly usage is negligible!... :)...!

Are you on ADSL Broadband, or Dial-up?

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004.... 8-)...!

P.S. ...don't upset your Service Provider...or he will cut you off!.... :o...!

Why don't you stay away from the providers with max limit?

Not really, however, if you do live in the UK (supposedly the 5th wealthiest country in the world) you may have problems because of the cr*p connections we get here!

Our Maximum speed on ADSL Broadband over the 'Phone Line in England is 8 Mb/s, and I consider myself to be very lucky to get between 5.8 and 6.4 Mb/s ....only because my Telephone Exchange is within spitting distance from me... ;)...!

Paul... ;D...!

Having "English" High Speed ADSL Broadband doesn't see to have much effect on the time it takes to traverse the World from Site to Site...or turning Forum Pages over!... :o...!

.ZZZZZzzzzzz.... ;D....!

I've wondered about this one myself ... does anyone know how to monitor how much you're downloading?

I've searched for a utility to monitor download volume but I can't seem to find anything to fit the bill.

The only folks that know how much you are downloading/using out of your Monthly allowance is your Service Provider, and they purposely will not tell you your usage as the Month progresses....for reasons best known to themselves!.....;)....!

That sounds like they want you to go over your limit so they can charge you more ... I can't imagine that happening ... ::)

Shane ... That's a great idea ... the best ones are always the simplest!  Thanks.

I don't mind using a bit of my monthly allowance but likewise don't indulge in streaming music or video, if I can help it, anyway.

I have a few webcam sites that I check on that have streaming video but the flickering lights on my router always freak me out ... I always see them as '
