Virtual Hampton Roads Airshow - April 4-6

Hello all.  I've seen a few of you saying you'd like to watch a virtual airshow.  This will be the last airshow that we (the AirshowBuzz FS gang) plan until October, and we're trying to go out with a bang.  Many acts are already lined up but if you'd like to fly one that isn't on the list, just say so.

Here is the information on the show so far.  I'll try to update this thread as we update the other one.

An airshow will take place on the HawkFlyers server during the first few months of 2008. The show will be held at Langley AFB (KLFI) and will be called Airpower over Hampton Roads. We hope for a 3 day show, with many pilots performing from different parts of the Virtual Airshow community.

The server IP is vshows.hopto.org, which I will only be running for the three days of the show.  If you want to practice with us, we'll be on fshf.hopto.org.

I will work on a screenshot tonight to show everyone where to sit and watch.

The aircraft pack will be put out a week before the show.  There will be two packs - one containing all of the aircraft and one containing just aircraft new to this show.  Jake is the probably the only one on here that will only need the lighter version.

That is a mistype....it will be on vshows.hopto.org...we've had too many problems with the server crashing on it.  We switched to tomcatboys on the last show and we had no problems whatsoever.  So were hoping to keep the momentum going.

I didn't realize the server name was too long for the IP box, so I had to change it.  The IP is now VSHOW.HOPTO.ORG.

Also a reminder to everyone that aircraft are due in a little over a week.

The packs are done and uploaded.  I got commitments but not aircraft from Strato and Mod, so I put in a model of the type they intended to fly.  All of the aircraft have 'Langley' at the beginning of their folder name, so none will overwrite any existing aircraft.  FSX users will have problems with duplicated names, though.  To fix that would have taken far too long.
