Do you have a router? And what firewall and OS are you using?

Okay the problem is most likely your router configuration. Work through the following tutorial http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1100625039 and you should be sorted ;)

It really is a sod of a problem, with all the poor Folks who have to suffer with a "Router".... :'(...!

..and maybe problems getting into "FSX" Multiplayer Sessions...

(Noting, in this case that "Acceleration" has been mentioned).

For all of us who use just a simple "USB to Phone Line Modem" and FS 2002/2004, and our delightful Sim V Server, there are no such problems in getting connected instantly to Multiplayer!

I see this is probably the reason off my problem, only I need to get the right inbound port... and only fs 98 / 2000 is showing at my router.

Where can i get those? In the tutorial it only shows 02 and fs9

The problem is your router not the kind of FS you use. Servers accept traffic through the right (opened) ports. Whether you use FS2002, FS9 or FSX shouldn't make a difference.

Crash...

Wasn't there a difficulty/problem with FSX insisting on using "Gamespy" to connect with Multiplayer....

A problem we didn't suffer with simple (FS Host) FS 2002/2004 Multiplayer connections?

Since I don't know a flying thing about FSX I can't comment on that. I do know that the FSX users on the Simviation server use FSHostClient to connect. It's available here.

That's odd because i could connect without opening any ports because fs opened them for me ;D ;D ;D and i have a wireless router, if that makes any difference

FS doesn't open any ports in a router simply because it can't do that. If you were able to get online, as many do, and you didn't open the correct ports for that server, you forced someone off the server or blocked other people from joining. As so many times happens. The fact that you can change a port number in Multiplayer doesn't mean it'll open that port on your router. Wireless or not.
