Fs Host help

Postby fighter25 » Sun Feb 11, 2007 7:04 pm

Ok I need a very simple explanation ( I'm a total noob to multiplayer ) on how to get to the SimV server to get into multiplayer for the Airshow in a month. I have already installed FS Host Client for FSX.

All you need to know is explained at the top of this Forum...>>>>

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1148901173

The rest is contained within the FS9 Simulator (Multiplayer option).

Paul... 8-)...!

I may be wrong, but I would imagine that most of the flyers will be using FS9, with its simple Multiplayer Option, rather than FSX... ::)...!

Hi fighter, will help yourself if you give a list of your eqipment so that they can help you faster.

Read the info as Fozer said above.

Go at top menu:- Flights >  Multiplayer > Connect > type a name at left, then the Simvtn IP address    85.10.244.109 (note the full stops), click "Search" & under Sessions you should see the
server name, click "Join" at bottom right, and you are in.

If you pan around now with the Hat SW of the control stick you should see the other planes too.

Then go:-  Flights >  Multiplayer & click on "Chat window" and you can talk to the others, if any that moment, or your friend, by typing in a message & press enter.

Find out about TeamSpeak too, for talking to your friends as well while simming.

If you have "fsNavigator", you can connect that too & see the other planes flying.

good luck

Your instructions work fine for FS9 (FS 2004) Luke, they are easy-peasy using Sam's Server (Simviation)... ;)...!

If Fighter intends to use FSX for Multiplayer, I think the process of getting connected is much more complicated. It insists on using Microsoft's Multiplayer system....I personally gave up on it with my version of FSX.
I only use FS9 for Multiplayer activity now, via Sam's Server, (or WS Pilots Server if Sam's is too busy).... :)...!

FS9 v FSX... ::)....?

fighter,

For FSX open FSHostClient1.0b5 then minimise it, don't close it. Start FSX, Create a flight where ever you want, or load one your choice  ;). When you are in the sim you will notice Add-ons in the menu bar. click it, goto FS HostClient then select multiplayer Connect. Pick a mildly amusing name for yourself, then type in the I/P address for the simV server and click search for IP sessions, click on the session you want if there are more than one and then click Connect. FSX must be in windowed mode when using chat.

remember don't close FSHostClient until you have finished flying.

See simple  :D
