...'trubble is, as I see it...
....everyone who participates in the Air Show has to download and install all the aircraft that everyone else is installing...otherwise they wont be visible in their correct form... :o...!

If I want to include my army Auster in the show, it means that everyone else must have it in their Hangar also for it to be visible...:o...!

In the last show all the planes around me always appeared as versions of the FS 2004 Default aircraft....and no-one could see my Cosmos Flexwing...because they didn't have it in their Hangar... :'(...!

No easy way over that, unless everyone uses the Default aircraft... ;)...!

Cheers all...!

Which is exactly why I've urged people to use aircraft with low file sizes!

And I (and most other people) will be downloading the Auster anyway, so no need to worry about that!

Oh, and I'll send you a PM with the list of 'Dial-up friendly' aircraft ;D

how do you tow anyway?

I think Im gonna have Paul tow me, he did such a good job and his Auster is perfect for it! ;)

Its not really a tow, but I have someone go to like 2500 feet or so and then I use the follow command to put me behind them (CTRL+SHIFT+T brings names up at the top right of the screen, then CTRL+SHIFT+F makes you follow the selected name)

the 22'nd! :( :'(

I'm going to be in Asheville, NC that weekend.

This will be the second airsow i'm going to miss. :( :'(

Ahh, don't worry, you're not the only one. I was looking forward to attending the airshow this time, but I after being gone nearly a week, I was surprised to see the date changed.

I'm gonna be in California for a month, so maybe i'll make it another time, one of these years... ;)

Ok i've had to change the spitfire that i'm going to be flying as i don't seem to be able to find it anymore :(,
the version that i'll be flying for definate now will be a Supermarine Spitfire Mk XII found over at Flightsim.com (sptmxii.zip file name).

Nemo

OK, so as not to have too many of the same aircraft flying at once I'll change to the Paul Rebuffat MkXIV http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kdl/main/73/sptmxive.zip?4bpaN04U but I should just point out that the Paul R. Spit IXs and the XVI for 2K4 are all available at Flightsim.com
I'd love to join in with a practice session for a Warbird formation but I'm on afternoons all this week so maybe sometime over the weekend or one night next week maybe?

...never fear, Jacob...
All being well, I shall be there with my trusty Auster...and a length of string with a hook on the end...;)...!

dont worry dial up users i might just have a cunning plan up my sleeve allowing you to download small aircraft whilst the broadband people are flying 30 odd md things
If anybodys interested in trying it out then pm me with the type of aircraft your using, what download you have and the title and sim names from that planes aircraft config file as well as the times your available at...as far as I know as long as those are the same then fs will automatically register  it as the aircraft you have  ;)

as for planes i might be flying a nimrod or tornado (or some other plane if i like it  ;))

my reasons for these planes are because i saw several tornados and was flying on nimrods for 3 hours at camp with the atc in kinloss, might post about it whenever i get time(most likely tomorrow.)

I'll hopefully be seen doing a solo display in the Ito Vulcan and the DSB Typhoon as part of a formation display (and a little solo too). I will post links when the appropriate thread is started.

...is it me bein' stoopid or sumfin'... :'(...?

...but if everyone decides at the last minute to download different types of aircraft from here, there, and everywhere, most of us aren't going to be able see them...?
...they wont be in our Hangars... :o...!

I still reckon that the only way that a multiplayer Airshow will work successfully is if everyone uses the "Uncle Bill" default aircraft in their Hangar....;D...!

..maybe a bit boring, but at least it works for everyone...instantly.... ;)...!

I know from past experience, from the last Airshow, most of the Planes didn't show up as the Simmers selected models... :'(...!

One of the few models which showed up correctly was Jake's "DH DC-3", because it's one of the default aircraft... ;D...!

I've managed to download a few of the Members selected special aircraft....but as for the rest....too many of them...:o...!

Cheers all...!

for planes to show up correctly you have to start off in a default aircraft at first, dont you?

Question;

Is someone going to compile a list of all aircraft so far or shall I start doing this now?
